Falkland is a perfect venue for film making as the sets required are already here in situ! In the absence of modern vehicles, one is transported back in time to any period from the fifteenth century onwards. 




A French film crew recently made the most of this opportunity with the box-office hit Imogene. If you have not seen it already this will give you the perfect opportunity to see our beautiful town in 1960s chic. The DVD can be purchased via the following url:

More recently Falkland has played host to scenes for the new TV series Outlander adapted from the novels by Diana Gabaldon. 













The series stars Tobias Menzies and Caitriona Balfe.
